How many guests fit in a tipi tent?

A standard giant tipi (also called a Nordic tipi) has about 50 sqm of usable space. For standing guests, this fits around 65 people. For seated dining, around 30-35 guests. Two tipis linked together can accommodate 60-70 seated or 130 standing.

What is a stretch tent?

A stretch tent (also called a Bedouin tent) is a flexible fabric canopy supported by poles. They come in various sizes from 40 sqm upward and can be shaped to fit unusual spaces. They are open-sided, making them ideal for summer events. Most are waterproof but not windproof.

How many bell tents do I need for a party?

A 5m bell tent has about 16 sqm of floor space and works best as a chill-out area for 8-10 guests with cushions and rugs. For seated use, around 6-8 guests per tent. Bell tents are popular for festival-themed parties and glamping events.

Do I need planning permission for a party tent?

In the UK, temporary structures for events generally do not need planning permission if erected for less than 28 days. However, check with your local council, especially for large marquees or tipis. You may need a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) from your council if serving alcohol or playing amplified music to over 499 people.
