How We Calculate This

This calculator estimates flower stem quantities based on the number and size of arrangements you need.

The formula

Total stems = arrangements × stems per arrangement

That total is then split into three types using your chosen ratio (default 40% focal flowers — the main blooms, 30% filler flowers — smaller supporting flowers, and 30% greenery — leaves and foliage). The ratios are balanced to always sum to 100%, so the total stem count stays the same whatever split you pick. If you toggle greenery off, its share is redistributed across the focal and filler flowers, so the arrangement stays just as full rather than ending up short of stems.
